Ultrafabrics has launched the new Brisa Mokume line of polyurethane-based super fabric that is not only durable, but also breathable and soft. The fabric is made for upholstery applications, but it also possesses acoustical properties.
The word “Mokume”—a hybrid of the Japanese characters for “tree” and “eye”—connotes the textural and aesthetic properties of old forests. Following this theme, Ultrafabrics offers Mokume in a palette of 14 hues, including “Starry Night,” “Sunlight” and “Waterfall” evoking the earth’s elements.
