Greening locations: New planter designs from Planters Unlimited

Carlsbad, Calif.-based Planters Unlimited launched three new planter designs that are ideal for hospitality hardscaping projects.

The Helix planter is made from fiberglass. Featuring a false bottom, the planter can be placed over unattractive elements while still providing plenty of planting area. The symmetric lines of the planter walls introduce light, shadows and pattern with the appearance of a rotating motion. It is available in multiple sizes, colors and finishes.

The Dune planter is made of fiberstone, giving it a lightly gritty texture like fine sand. The organic pattern flowing through the surface can be oriented horizontally or vertically, mimicking sand dunes with wind or water patterns rippling throughout. It is available in multiple sizes and colors.

Meanwhile, the Volta planter is made of a mix of fiberstone and fiberglass. The round shape tapers at the bottom with a reverse taper at the top.  The change in direction provides a dividing line to mix materials and colors. The top of the planter is smooth fiberglass while the bottom is made of fiberstone with etched vertical lines. It is available in multiple sizes, colors and finishes.
