Hunter Douglas launched the patented Skylight Tension Shades, which are designed to modulate light and heat. Tension shades are different from conventional shading systems in various ways. They have an innovative tensioning system that adjusts automatically to account for natural expansion and contraction of the fabric; a single motor that operates both movement and tensioning; and dual-shade systems that confer translucent shading, as well as complete blackout. As custom installations, Skylight Tension Shades can fill odd shapes and sizes of skylight, from trapezoidal, triangular, horizontal, inclined and sloped. Multiple colors and fabrics are available.
