Luxxbox, a designer of acoustic solutions, has launched Hemii, a round-formed acoustic light fixture offering noise absorption capabilities with a polyethylene terephthalate dome structure.
With a minimalistic design, Hemii is suitable for large spaces. The interior recycled PET material undergoes a thermo-form process that uses heat to mold its shape, creating a fixture that reduces the noise in open spaces. The fixtures are then encased in soft, biodegradable wool. This hand-upholstered exterior increases the acoustic properties and complements other design features.
Hemii is available in two sizes (28 inches and 36 inches in diameter) and 51 exterior colorways. The pendant is made from wool and PET material, a dense polyester fiber that is manufactured from recycled plastics. Similar to all of Luxxbox's product portfolio, Hemii is fully recyclable at the end of life. Hemii also has a lumen package of 4500K and power of 57W along with a dimmable circular edge-lit LED panel.
“When designing Hemii, we took notice of a demand for large fixtures that reduces noise without overpowering the existing design scheme,” said Jason Bird, founder and creative director of Luxxbox. “Hemii embodies all of Luxxbox's acoustic lighting benefits, packing a big lighting output punch and noise absorption and a clean, classic aesthetic,” he said.
