Drury Hotels has begun construction on the 180-room Drury Plaza Hotel Daytona Speedway in Daytona Beach, which is scheduled to open in June 2027.

The Florida hotel—located near Interstate 95 and the Daytona International Speedway—will be the company's first property in Daytona Beach and its eighth hotel in Florida. The Daytona Beach development is the latest in a series of Florida expansion projects for Drury Hotels. In 2026, the company opened the Drury Inn & Suites Destin Miramar Beach and the Drury Plaza Hotel Tampa Brandon, while also announcing the Drury Plaza Hotel Destin, which is slated to begin construction.

“We are proud to join the community in one of Florida's most iconic destinations with our newest hotel, the Drury Plaza Hotel Daytona Speedway,” Chuck Drury, CEO of St. Louis-based Drury Hotels, said in a statement. “The hotel's proximity to the world-famous speedway, the bustling boardwalk and the beautiful Atlantic beaches enables us to bring our award-winning hospitality and value to travelers looking to stay near the action in this legendary city.”

The hotel will include more than 2,000 square feet of meeting space and amenities such as complimentary breakfast, evening food and beverage offerings, Wi-Fi, a business center, fitness center, parking, outdoor pool and spa and an on-site food-and-beverage venue. The meeting facilities will accommodate up to 200 attendees.

Drury Hotels said it will begin recruiting employees in the Daytona Beach market as construction progresses. Upon opening, the hotel is expected to employ approximately 50 full- and part-time team members.
