High Construction Company of Lancaster, Pa., was awarded a construction contract to develop a new Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
The $9-million contract is for a new hotel development in Hershey, Pa. The four-story, 120-room hotel will total 7,000 square feet.
High Construction, which is part of High Real Estate Group, began work on the hotel this month, and the property is expected to open in spring 2017.
The hotel is owned by Bears Creek Hershey Hotel, and is a joint venture between Shaner Hotels and Chafia Capital Partners. Shaner Hotel Holdings will manage the hotel. Shaner, which is headquartered in State College, Pa., is part of Shaner Companies and is a developer, owner and operator that currently owns and manages more than 40 hotels across the U.S.
