Hilton plans Garden Inn hotel by Doncaster Racecourse

Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with Arena Racing Company to open a Hilton Garden Inn at the Doncaster Racecourse. The 154-room hotel will be located within the grounds of a notable UK horseracing venues, and will have views of the racetrack. Construction will begin by the end of this year and the hotel will open in 2018.

“Doncaster Racecourse is steeped in heritage and plays an important role in the local community,” ARC's racing and property director, Stephen Higgins, said in a statement. “We are delighted to be working with Doncaster Council and Hilton on this exciting project which marks a new era for the racecourse. The development of a new Hilton Garden Inn will provide the town with a much-needed premium hotel for guests, as well as extra capacity for racegoers on racedays."

“With more than 280,000 people visiting Doncaster Racecourse in 2015, this hotel will provide prime mid-scale accommodation,” Patrick Fitzgibbon, SVP of development, EMEA, Hilton, added. 

Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse will be located at The Grandstand, Leger Way, Doncaster. The UK already has 138 Hilton Worldwide hotels representing eight brands.
