Dream Hotel Group has been on a growth mission ever since Jay Stein, the hotel company's CEO, took the helm. The first thing he did was change the name of the company to reflect and leverage its most well-known brand: Dream Hotels. From there, the company shifted some of its brands and added a new one in Unscripted, a lifestyle product that, as Stein said, has a home in core urban markets and secondary markets, alike. Projects include an Unscripted in Durham, N.C., and one forthcoming in Birmingham, England.
At IHIF in Berlin, he discussed the status of Unscripted and its future, getting new projects signed, cultivating the next generation of hotel talent and the runway for hotel development in Europe—"so many opportunities," Stein said.
