How sustainability will influence Montage's new California hotel

Montage Hotels & Resorts will open the Montage Healdsburg in California’s wine country in spring 2020, with construction slated to start later this year. The new property will be spread across nearly 260 acres.

With an emphasis on sustainability, the property’s design will by led by Burlingame, Calif.-based firm GlazierLe, San Diego-based Delawie Architects, and global firm EDG.

The Montage Healdsburg, which will be located at the heart of California’s wine country in Sonoma County, will have 130 bungalow-style guestrooms. The property will have a contemporary wine-country aesthetic, including a palette of dark woods and earth tones to complement the surroundings.

Amenities will include open-air massages at the Spa Montage and an infinity pool overlooking the resort’s vineyards. There will also be a treehouse-inspired private dining venues, as well as an outdoor bar and grill.

The property is expected to host a collection of Montage Residences in the future.
