The Oberoi Group to open The Oberoi, Marrakech in December

The Oberoi Group is scheduled to open The Oberoi, Marrakech on December 1.

The Oberoi, Marrakech will be located in 28 acres of landscaped gardens, citrus orchards and olive groves with views of the snow–capped Atlas Mountains. The resort will be situated near the Djema el-Fna square and the ancient walled city.

The architect of The Oberoi, Marrakech is Patrick Collier, who worked under the guidance of P.R.S. Oberoi, executive chairman of The Oberoi Group.

The resort's design was inspired by the history of Moroccan architecture. The courtyard of the main building incorporates the design of the Medersa Ben Youssef, built in the 14th century and one of Marrakech’s historic monuments.

The property will have 84 rooms, suites and villas; 76 of which will have private pools and private gardens. The rooms and suites will be laid out with maximum privacy in mind.

For dining, the property will have three restaurants. The bar and the terrace will overlook the gardens and the Atlas Mountains.

The Oberoi Spa will have an indoor pool. The spa will be located on a natural body of water and surrounded by orchards. The spa will have private therapy suites and Hammam.

A children’s activity center will be available for families traveling with children.

For events, The Oberoi, Marrakech will have a 300-square-meter (3,229 square foot) function room and smaller meeting rooms.

Fabien Gastinel is the GM of the resort.
