QT Hotels & Resorts plans a 2020 opening for QT Auckland, which will be the 10th boutique hotel property in the collection and the third in New Zealand, joining the QT Wellington and the QT Queenstown.

As part of the management agreement with QT Hotels' parent company, Event Hospitality & Entertainment (EVENT), property owners Russell Property Group and Lockwood Property Group will be converting an existing building in the Viaduct Harbor into QT Auckland.

The hotel will have more than 150 rooms, meetings and events spaces, and a new QT dining and bar concept.
