Edinburgh, Scotland, is getting two new and notable hotels in the coming years: TH Real Estate has tapped ISG to develop Edinburgh’s newest Hub by Premier Inn hotel. ISG is also main contractor for the first venture in Edinburgh by the Carlton Hotel Collection, delivered in partnership with the EDI Group. The two contracts have a combined value of €25.3 million.
For the new 145-room Premier Inn hotel, the second Hub site in Edinburgh, ISG will renovate the former Hanover Buildings, adding a two-story steel frame extension at roof level to increase the property’s total floor area by an estimated 4,900 square feet.
ISG will also build a new 98-room, seven-story boutique hotel on what is currently an unused site for the Netherlands-based Carlton Hotel Collection. Construction will have to wait until the existing structure is demolished and removed, and is expected to begin later this year.
