Viceroy plans hotel for Buenos Aires, Argentina

Viceroy Hotel Group has unveiled initial plans for the Viceroy Buenos Aires, expected to open in 2019.

Viceroy was selected by Gnvgroup to brand and manage the first—and, so far only—hotel planned for Madero Harbour, a mixed-use development in Buenos Aires. Viceroy Buenos Aires’ 125 hotel rooms and 30 residences will be designed by architect Carlos Ott and will anchor the urban planned community in the Puerto Madero district.

The harbor will include a shopping center with 120 retail outlets, restaurants, nightlife, cinemas, a heliport and more.

Viceroy also recently announced its plans to debut in Panama. The upcoming Viceroy Bocas del Toro Panama will be the first in the region to include luxury overwater villas. The hotel is the result of a partnership between VHG, West Resort and Hospitality Investors Group. Zurcher Arquitectos will oversee development and Wimberly Interiors will create all aspects of interior design.
