Marriott taps Coca-Cola as global beverage partner

Marriott International has signed a global agreement with The Coca-Cola Company that will bring Coca-Cola beverages to hotels across its worldwide portfolio.

Under the agreement, Coca-Cola becomes Marriott's global beverage partner across several categories, including carbonated soft drinks as well as hydration and functional beverages. Guests will begin seeing Coca-Cola products in guestrooms, restaurants, lounges and meetings-and-events spaces as a phased rollout begins this month and continues worldwide in the coming months.

Marriott President and CEO Anthony Capuano said the partnership aligns two globally recognized brands with a shared focus on guest experience.

"This agreement brings together two iconic brands with a shared commitment to quality, consistency and creating memorable experiences," Capuano said in a statement. He added that the deal is intended to better meet guest preferences while creating economic benefits for hotel owners and franchise operators throughout Marriott's system.

Henrique Braun, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, said the partnership will expand beverage options for travelers across Marriott properties.

"From sparkling beverages to juices, hydration and dairy, we're offering guests options for their beverage needs throughout their entire visit," Braun said.

According to the companies, the agreement will expand beverage choice across Marriott's portfolio, with Coca-Cola products available across multiple guest touchpoints, including dining venues, lounges and meeting spaces.

The partnership was developed in collaboration with Hot Shoppe Services International, Marriott's global procurement organization, which the company said will help drive value for owners and operators through its supplier network and purchasing scale.
