Launching in May 2018, Crowne Plaza London - Albert Embankment is the first luxury hotel to open in the Albert Embankment area.
The new hotel is symbolic of the new brand platform from Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resort that launched in 2017 called ‘We’re All Business, Mostly’. This $200-million brand investment shows the commitment to remain at the forefront of the new way of doing business with design-led, culturally relevant and technology-enabled solutions.
Hotel Overview
Located on the South Bank of the River Thames, the hotel offers breathtaking views over The Thames, including the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Created by ADS Design and RPW Design, Crowne Plaza London - Albert Embankment offers the comforts of a quiet location, as well as close proximity to the heart of London and its many landmarks.
Destination Rooftop Terrace
The jewel in the crown will be a chic sky terrace on the 14th floor, with panoramic views of the River Thames and capacity for more than 70 guests. A standalone destination, with stylish space for alfresco dining and an international food concept, the rooftop terrace will be the ultimate spot south of the river.
Reflecting the surrounding skyline, the design will see a mix of sophisticated blue hues along with copper and metallic tones. There will be open fires, floor-to-ceiling glass, expansive wine and spirits collections, a shisha and cigar terrace and soft, sumptuous seating.
Dining
In keeping with the U.S. Embassy neighbour, the hotel will offer an American lobby bar and restaurant, with capacity for more than 70 guests. The menu will pay homage to favourites from the other side of the pond, all served with a contemporary flair. A bar will also stand at the centre of the room, home to an extensive cocktail menu, as well as wine, spirits and beers.
Location
The hotel is two London Tube stops from Victoria station and within walking distance of Waterloo Station, with close proximity to London landmarks including the Tate Britain and Houses of Parliament. It is equally close to Heathrow or Gatwick Airports via Victoria Station.
