Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen opened a new dining venue, the Sushi ‘n’ Raw Seafood bar and restaurant. Sordo Madaleno, the designer of the resort, also designed this restaurant.
The restaurant has a 42-seat walls-free dining area that faces the Caribbean Sea. There is also an eight-person sushi bar, where guests can watch live cooking and sushi demonstrations.
Helmed by chef Antonio Herrera, Sushi ‘n’ Raw serves Japanese culinary concepts that focus on locally sourced fish and produce.
Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen opened in 2015 as the only beachfront luxury resort on Mamita’s Beach.
