Aimbridge Hospitality appoints Javier Sanchez as vice president of business development - Caribbean and All‑Inclusive. Sanchez will work with hotel owners, developers and investors to evaluate development and conversion opportunities in the Caribbean and across the all-inclusive sector, reporting to Patricio del Portillo, senior vice president of development for CALA. Sanchez will partner closely with Aimbridge’s operations, commercial and brand teams to support owners as they pursue new opportunities that align with their goals.
“The addition of a seasoned veteran in Javier reflects our confidence in the growth opportunities across Latin America as we work to help owners capitalize on these tailwinds,” Alex Fiz, president of All‑Inclusive and Latin America, said in a statement. “Owners interested in all-inclusive and Caribbean-based properties require an experienced partner who understands the complexity of the region, and that is why they choose to partner with Aimbridge. Javier possesses the skills and relationships to generate new business opportunities and help us reach new heights.”
Sanchez brings more than 20 years of experience scaling hospitality and real estate brands across Latin America and the Caribbean through partnerships and asset‑light growth strategies. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of hotel development, CALA at Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos, where he co‑led a major joint venture supporting the company’s growth across the region. Over the course of his career, he has executed and supported a broad portfolio of franchise, licensing, and development agreements throughout the region.
“Aimbridge has built a differentiated offering in the region grounded in operational rigor and owner alignment,” said Sanchez. “I’m excited to work alongside owners who see the opportunity in this category and are looking for a partner that understands the intricacies of the model and how to unlock added value for owners and guests alike.”
