CHMWarnick hires, promotes from within

CHMWarnick has promoted several members of its asset management team and hired a new VP. 

Maxine Taylor has been promoted to EVP at CHMWarnick. In this role, Taylor is responsible for advising a range of clients from international investors to private equity groups. She oversees a portfolio of hotels and resorts throughout Hawaii and San Francisco. Taylor has more than 35 years of hospitality industry experience focusing on luxury and resort operations, acquisition underwriting, capital investment strategies and value creation through asset management and was president of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association. Before rejoining CHMWarnick in 2016, Taylor held the positions of EVP at Chartres Lodging Group and VP, asset management at Capital Hotel Management.

Joe DeFrank has also been promoted to EVP. DeFrank joined the company in 2018 and he is responsible for asset managing a portfolio that includes the Marriott Marquis and Hyatt Regency at Chicago’s McCormick Place, Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Hilton Austin Convention Center and others. He is also the lead asset manager on multiple hotel receivership engagements. Before joining CHMWarnick, DeFrank was a SVP of asset management for Host Hotels & Resorts.

Jenna Aragosa has joined the company as VP. Based in New York, she will serve as a senior member of CHMWarnick’s asset management and advisory teams, supporting clients with strategic investment decisions related to hotel acquisition, development and repositioning strategies, brand/management selection and capital planning. Aragosa specializes in economic, financial and operational analysis, as well as organizational and general consulting for the hospitality and related services industries. Before joining CHMWarnick, Aragosa was with CBRE’s Advisory Northeast division, consulting with major sources of debt financing, private hotel companies, private sector hotel developers and private member clubs.
