Choice Hotels International has promoted Tony Pallas to chief technology officer, tasking the executive with leading enterprise technology, engineering and SkyTouch Technology, the company’s hotel operations and property management platform. Pallas will report to Anna Scozzafava, chief data, AI and technology officer, and will help advance the company’s next phase of technology innovation.
“Tony is a proven leader with deep technology and hospitality experience. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to build high-performing teams, create cutting-edge technology platforms, and keep customer needs at the center of every decision—delivering meaningful business results,” Scozzafava said in a statement. “As we continue advancing our data, AI and technology priorities, Tony’s leadership will help strengthen our ability to scale innovation quickly, execute with excellence and create long-term value for franchisees, customers and guests.”
Pallas has spent more than a decade driving platform modernization, expanding cloud-based capabilities and delivering scalable solutions aimed at improving hotel performance, operational efficiency and franchisee success. While serving as chief commercial and technology officer for the company’s property management system business, he grew annual revenue by 68 percent and EBITDA by nearly 100 percent, effectively doubling the business during his tenure.
Most recently, Pallas served as executive sponsor and chief architect for CHARLIE, an AI-powered solution unveiled at the company’s annual convention in May 2026. In his new role, he will support the continued development of additional AI-enabled tools, including Choice Hotels Business Direct, EasyBid and RAISE, which are designed to help hotel owners capture demand, improve operations and prepare for evolving travel booking trends.
Before joining Choice Hotels, Pallas advised companies on emerging technology strategy and product development and led organizations delivering custom software across web, mobile and IoT platforms.
