Crescent Real Estate promoted Chris Hanrattie to SVP, investments for the real estate operating company and investment advisor.

Hanrattie is responsible for all hospitality acquisitions and investments on behalf of Crescent and has made contributions on the deployment of the company’s GP Invitation Fund I, which was launched in 2016. He led the acquisition of more than 1,675 keys and $500 million of investments which included iconic properties as Hotel Crescent Court in Dallas and The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in Denver. Crescent continues to remain active in the hospitality sector.

Hanrattie originally joined Crescent in 2004 and returned to Crescent in November of 2009. Prior to returning to Crescent from 2006-2009, Hanrattie served as senior associate for M-M Properties and Archon Capital, an investment subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. Following his return to Crescent, he was promoted to VP, investments in 2014 where he was responsible for the asset management of existing investments at Crescent and reviewing and analyzing new investments for Crescent and the GPIF. The GPIF is used to acquire, develop and operate all real estate asset classes alongside institutional investors and high net worth clients.

Hanrattie holds a bachelor of business administration and a master of business administration from The University of Texas at Arlington. He has almost 20 years of experience in the finance and real estate sectors, mostly focused on real estate investments. Hanrattie has managed more than $2.5 billion of acquisitions and dispositions across multiple asset types throughout his career. Additionally, Hanrattie is a member of The Real Estate Council and serves as a volunteer board member of two local sports organizations.
