Expotel Hospitality adds chief development officer

Third-party hotel management company Expotel Hospitality has added Ed Robison to its executive team to serve as the company’s chief development officer.

"Robison will play a key role in the development of proactive business partnerships and play a crucial role in our growth and success, driving the expansion of our unique hospitality experience into new markets," President and COO Bret Chittenden said in a statement. "He will provide general support and education for owners as well as assistance in development. He will also support our mission of creating powerful moments and bringing others along on this exciting journey as well as spearhead our expansion through strategic sales of hotel management agreements."

Robison will lead the company’s strategy in increasing its strategic networking and relationship building through sales and business development, fostering strong relationships with current and potential clients and helping them bolster their market share and to continue Expotel’s goal in delivering superior performance for hotel owners and investors.

Previously, Robison served as senior vice president, owner relations and development, with HP Hotels, and prior to that was with Hilton for nearly 14 years as the senior director, owner support for the Hilton Focused Service and All-Suites brands.

With over 35 years of hospitality experience to include experience with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Choice and Wyndham Hotels, Robinson held a number of property, regional and project roles across the business. He is knowledgeable in all phases of hotel operations from concept and opening, to managing the processes of budget, revenue planning, daily execution and long-term financial planning.
