Hotel companies appoint executives in April

Several hospitality companies have announced new leadership appointments or promotions this month. 

Twenty Four Seven Hotels

Twenty Four Seven Hotels named Dan Grunbeck corporate F&B director.

A hospitality and food service veteran of nearly two decades, Grunbeck most recently was executive chef/F&B director at Snowpine Lodge in Alta, Utah. He held similar positions at other  hotels, including executive chef at both Pendry Park City and Kimpton Restaurants and Bars.

Waterford Hotel Group

Waterford Hotel Group promoted Chris Chiappa to vice president, acquisitions and business development - East. Chiappa will seek new business for Waterford Hotel Group, including management and investment opportunities, with a concentrated effort in the eastern region of the United States. 

Chiappa's hospitality career with Waterford began in 2012 as operations manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell, Conn. His career trajectory led him to various roles with the company, including GM, financial analyst, and, most recently, corporate director of business development.  In the last year, Chiappa propelled Waterford's growth with the addition of five hotels in the Northeast: Courtyard by Marriott Lenox, Mass.; Hampton Inn Lenox, Mass.; Courtyard by Marriott Lebanon, N.H.; Marriott Residence Inn Kingston, N.Y.; and Hutton Brickyards Resort + Spa in Kingston, N.Y.

Gulph Creek Hotels 

Gulph Creek Hotels appointed Sabriya Homer VP of accounting and administration.

Homer has more than 20 years of cross-functional experience in accounting and auditing. Most recently, Homer led and developed the accounting team at OTH Resorts as regional director of finance.

Homer started her career as an intern at Walt Disney World in Orlando. After graduation, she held numerous positions of increasing responsibilities across major hospitality companies, including Hilton Worldwide and IHG Hotels & Resorts. Homer has also held finance leadership roles for hotel management companies such as PM Hotel Group and Morgans Hotel Group.
