Live! Casino & Hotel appointed of Brian Coughlin as GM of the flagship Live! Hotel, set to open in the spring of 2018.
In his new capacity, Coughlin will manage day-to-day hotel operations and raise brand awareness to drive traffic to the hotel, including new staff training, guest service, compliance, financial planning and revenue management.
Coughlin has worked with luxury properties nationwide for more than 20 years. His most recent position was director of rooms at Caneel Bay Resort on the island of St. John, U.S.V.I. Additionally, he has held positions at a number of other hotels, including the St. Regis Houston, The Elysian Hotel (now Waldorf-Astoria Chicago), The-Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia and The Hotel Hershey. Coughlin also served at a private members club in Chicago. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in management from the University of Illinois.

The 17-story, 350,000-square-foot luxury Live! Hotel that connects to Live! Casino includes 310 guestrooms, an event center, 20,000-square-feet of meeting spaces, the Live! Spa and David’s – a 24/7 dining establishment named after Cordish Companies’ chairman David Cordish. Located within the Arundel Mills Commercial District, next to Arundel Mills Mall, Live! Casino & Hotel will offer guests an all-inclusive experience including gaming entertainment and luxury accommodations. It also is the first hotel to carry the Live! brand.
Live! Casino & Hotel is one of the largest commercial casinos in the country, located in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore corridor, just off I-95, Route 100 and the B/W Parkway at Arundel Mills. Open 24/7, Live! Casino offeres more than 200 live action table games, including a Poker Room; approximately 4,000 slot machines; and two High Limit rooms.
Opening spring 2018, the new Live! Hotel will consist of 310 guestrooms, along with a bar and entertainment scene, the Live! Spa and more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Together, the property offers dining and entertainment, including The Prime Rib steakhouse; Bobby’s Burger Palace, from chef Bobby Flay; Morty’s Delicatessen, a traditional New York-style deli; The Cheesecake Factory; Phillips Seafood Express; Luk Fu, serving authentic Asian cuisine; 8 at Luk Fu, serving sushi and sashimi; En Vivo, with classic varieties of soft tacos and burritos; the new David’s, offering 24-hour service and a menu of culinary creations; and Luckies, offering espresso, Starbucks coffee drinks and Italian gelato. Nightly entertainment at Live! Center Stage and the interactive R Bar is also on offer.
