Maya Hotels promotes new president, CEO

Charlotte-based hotel company Maya Hotels has promoted Parimal Thakor to president and Krishna Deva to CEO. 

After almost three decades of leadership, company founders Baldev Thakor and JD Deva will officially shift their titles to founders, remaining actively engaged in a strategic and advisory capacity within the company.

Parimal Thakor joined Maya Hotels in 2008 and Krishna Deva formally came on board in 2019. The duo jointly oversees all strategic planning and investment activity for the company. Parimal Thakor is focused on the company’s ground-up development and directs all capital projects. Krishna Deva is responsible for driving operational excellence and financial performance across the organization.

“Parimal and Krishna have been instrumental in the company’s evolution during their time at Maya Hotels,” Baldev Thakor said in a statement. “Their dedication to our values and passion for hospitality make them ideal stewards to carry forward our legacy.
