Expotel Hospitality has tapped Mike Nixon as president and chief development officer.
In his new role, Nixon will oversee the Louisiana-based company’s growth in acquisitions and third-party management services.
Nixon most recently served with hotel management and development company Innisfree Hotels in Gulf Breeze, Fla., where he worked his way from general manager to president during his 25 years with the organization. His efforts grew the company to $170 million in annual revenues.
“His skill set is a perfect complement for us and we look to Mike to help manage the fast-growing demand for Expotel’s services as a management company,” said George Newton III, chairman of Expotel, which specializes in hotel and asset management for individual and institutional owners.
