Prism announces new appointments and promotions

Dallas-based hotel management, investment and advisory services company Prism Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of personnel at the corporate level to better handle the new normal and uptick in and mix of business the company anticipates moving forward. Moves impact seven separate employees across departments including sales and marketing, accounting and operations.

On Prism's operations team, Chris Charbonnet has been promoted to the position of SVP of Prism Lender Services. Charbonnet has experience in this discipline from his past experiences both before and during his tenure at Prism.

Jamer Samonte has been promoted to the position of regional VP of operations where he will take up the Most Satisfied Owner commitment on several Prism hotels and support the company's commercial mortgage-backed securities and receivership efforts.

Prism has rehired Jansen Medeiros as regional VP of operations to assist on consulting and asset management projects that have recently been acquired. Over the past 20 years, Medeiros has developed a deep understanding of hotel and asset management getting his start managing all resort departments and eventually running a resort at the executive level. More recently, Medeiros was managing director and VP of operations for two large full-service independent resorts in Hawaii and 15 branded hotels across Arizona, California and Texas.

On the sales and marketing side, Shannon Kane is the company’s new regional director of sales. Kane comes to Prism after 10 years at LodgeWorks, where she held a number of roles, most recently as a regional director supporting four brands with sales, training, onboarding, revenue and strategy. She will be based in her hometown of Seattle.

Additionally, both Beth Mahony and Jeff Miller have been promoted to the position of VP of sales. Mahony and Miller have guided Prism's growth strategy over the past six months by working to improve revenue at the hotels, provide constant communication for ownership groups and onboard new properties.

To further help support Prism's portfolio, Marilyn Beacham will join the accounting team as a new senior accounting manager. She will be responsible for overseeing the financial statement process for a portfolio of hotels to include journal entries and the compilation of month-end reports. Beacham has more than 30 years of hotel accounting experience at both the corporate and property level.
