Spire Hospitality added Dawna Comeaux as SVP. Comeaux previously guided the sales, revenue management and operation teams at Pillar Hotels and Resorts. Alongside Chris Russell, Spire Hospitality’s new CEO, Comeaux will play a leadership role in maximizing value through improved operations, sales, service and company objectives.
“Bringing Dawna onboard to an already strong leadership team is indicative of the substantial growth and development planned for Spire Hospitality,” Russell said in a statement. “Her deep experience driving success for third-party management companies, as well as her vast understanding of the industry and all major brands will be valuable as we continue to expand our management portfolio and provide our hotels with incomparable support.”
In her most recent position as EVP of operations and sales for Pillar Hotels and Resorts, Comeaux led a team representing all major hotel brands, including 250 hotels across 40 states with more than 8,000 team members.

In addition to her time with Pillar Hotels and Resorts, Comeaux served both as a SVP of sales and a SVP of operations for Archon Hospitality (a Goldman Sachs company), and as an area director of operations and sales for Prism Hotels. Comeaux’s history on both the sales and operations side of the industry, and she received her bachelor of science degree in hotel/restaurant management from the University of Houston.
