Hilton signs DoubleTree hotel in Shirdi, India

Hilton has signed a management agreement with Trillion Real Estate and Properties for a DoubleTree hotel in Maharashtra. According to Z News, DoubleTree by Hilton Shirdi, Hilton’s first property in the popular pilgrimage destination, will be in the city's historical town center, near the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, the Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station and the Shirdi Airport, which is opening soon. 

The hotel is set to open in the first quarter of 2019, increasing Hilton's pipeline of hotels in India to 19 properties. "With five DoubleTree by Hilton properties currently operating in India, DoubleTree by Hilton Shirdi will mark the brand's sixth property in the pipeline in this burgeoning market," DoubleTree by Hilton SVP and global head Dianna Vaughan said in a statement. When open, the 125-guestroom DoubleTree by Hilton Shirdi will be one of the first global hospitality brands in the area and reportedly the first upscale hotel in Shirdi.

Hilton has a portfolio of 14 brands with over 5,000 properties and 825,000 guestrooms in 103 countries and territories.

In the Asia Pacific region, DoubleTree by Hilton also recently opened its Shenzhen Longhua property, the first international full-service hotel in the city's transportation hub. DoubleTree’s fourth hotel in Shenzhen Longhua is near the offices and major shopping mall in the commercial center of Longhua New District, the new DoubleTree has 238 guestrooms and 12 suites. It is also close to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Shenzhen North Express Train Station and Qinghu metro station.
