5 all-suites hotels open across the South

Marriott International and Hilton opened five new all-suites hotels across the South during the past few weeks. The new properties are SpringHill Suites by Marriott, TownePlace Suites by Marriott and Home2 Suites by Hilton hotels in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and North Carolina.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott

The 125-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dallas McKinney/Allen debuted today. Located in McKinney, Texas, roughly 30 miles outside of Dallas, the hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a 24-hour market and 750 square feet of meeting space. Atlantic Hotels Group of Dallas owns and manages the hotel.

Ascent Hospitality opened the 105-key SpringHill Suites by Marriott Montgomery (Ala.) Downtown less than two weeks ago. The hotel is located in downtown Montgomery, across the street from Riverwalk Stadium and near the Alabama State Capitol and Montgomery Performing Arts Centre. It features a meeting room, guest laundry facilities, a 24-hour market and a fitness center. Ascent Hospitality, a Georgia-based company with more than 31 hotels and more than 3,000 rooms in its portfolio, owns and manages the hotel.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott

The 96-key TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jackson Airport/Flowood (Miss.) began welcoming guests earlier this month. Kerioth Corp. of Ridgeland, Miss., owns the hotel and InterMountain Management of Monroe, La., operates it. The property is located 6 miles from the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport and 25 minutes from downtown Jackson, Miss. The TownePlace Suites features an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, a meeting room, a 24-hour market and laundry facilities.

Home2 Suites by Hilton

The Home2 Suites by Hilton Columbia (S.C.) opened alongside the Hilton Garden Inn Columbia Downtown as part of a dual-branded hotel owned and operated by CN Hotels. Together, the hotels offer 223 guestrooms, a 24-hour fitness center, a heated indoor pool and 4,500 square feet of meeting space. The two hotels provide distinct dining areas. CN Hotels owns and manages a portfolio of 26 hotels throughout the Southeast.

The 93-room Home2 Suites by Hilton Salisbury (N.C.) opened earlier this month. The extended-stay hotel, owned by Narsi Salisbury and managed by Narsi Properties, is located near the headquarters of Cheerwine and Food Lion Headquarters as well as Livingstone College. The property features an outdoor saline pool, a grab-and-go market and a combined laundry and fitness area.
