Best Western opens Maryland, Texas, Oregon, Florida hotels

BWH Hotels has opened several properties across the country in the past few weeks. 

Laurel, Md.

The new Best Western Laurel, Md., is a conversion of a former Quality Inn. The newly renovated hotel has 96 guestrooms and suites and is located off Interstate 95, halfway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. and close to George G. Meade military base.

A recent $3 million renovation combines both traditional and modern aesthetics with warm and neutral color tones. Guestrooms and suites got new furnishings as well as new bathrooms with lighted mirrors, microwaves and mini fridges. Public space upgrades include a remodeled lobby and outdoor swimming pool, alongside an updated exterior. The property has a fitness center, laundry facilities, a sundry market selling snacks and other necessities and more than 2,800 square feet of meeting space. 

Fort Worth, Texas

The Best Western Plus Fort Worth (Texas) North, a former Sonesta Select hotel, is owned by Denish Patel - AJNM Hotels Group and has 148 guestrooms.
 
The renovated hotel has a modern color theme and art inspired by American western culture, depicting murals of longhorns and horses, alongside all-new furniture and upgraded fitness and public spaces. Guestrooms have microwaves and mini-fridges while rooms with courtyard views (overlooking the outdoor pool) have balconies. The hotel has 24-hour fitness and business centers, guest laundry facilities and a convenience store. For events, the property has three separate venues, the largest of which accommodating up to 50 attendees.

Bonham, Texas

The new-build Best Western Plus Bonham is owned by GK Reddy and has 57 guestrooms.

The newly constructed Best Western Plus Bonham has a modern aesthetic accented by grey and blue decor. Guestrooms have mini fridges and the property has an outdoor pool, 24- hour fitness and business centers, complimentary guest laundry facilities, a Suite Shop selling snacks and other necessities and a 45-guest capacity meeting room.

The hotel is close to North Texas Safari Park and Bonham State Park.

Lake Oswego, Ore. 

The Best Western Lake Oswego (Ore.) Hotel & Suites, formerly the Phoenix Inn Suites, has 62 guestrooms including 37 suites. The property recently underwent a $1.5 million renovation that added neutral warm colors and vibrant artwork throughout. 

Each guestroom is pet-friendly and has blackout curtains, Keurig coffee/tea makers, mini-fridges and microwaves. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and spa, 24-hour fitness center, a 1,150-square-foot conference room with AV equipment, a business center and guest laundry facilities.

The hotel is close to the Oregon Zoo, Portland Japanese Gardens and Oregon Convention Center. 

Winter Haven, Fla.

The new-build Best Western Plus Winter Haven (Fla.) Inn & Suite is owned by P6 Xenia LLC and has 97 total guestrooms, 30 of which are suites. The hotel was the first to be built under the new prototype for Best Western Plus. 
 
Guestrooms at the hotel have microwaves, mini-fridges and coffee makers. The hotel lobby has a 24-hour coffee station that includes specialty coffee options; a sundry shop for beverages, snacks and other necessities; a community area; and lounge pods. Other amenities include a heated outdoor pool with a sun shelf, 24-hour fitness center with Peloton bikes, guest laundry facilities, a 600-square-foot meeting room, electric vehicle chargers and business services.
