Bill Rooney Studio renovates European-inspired Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club in Miami

Marriott International's Autograph Collection Hotels, working with REIT Hersha Hospitality Trust, has opened the Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club in Miami Beach, Fla.

The hotel, recognized as one of Miami Beach’s original and historic Art Deco properties, underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation before joining the Collection.

New York-based interior design firm Bill Rooney Studio designed the newly-renovated hotel, inspired by the 1940s Italian and French Rivieras with a preserved Art Deco aesthetic. The lobby, for example, has kept its classic signatures with original terrazzo floors, greenery and a wraparound mezzanine balcony overlooking the check-in and lounge area.

Oceanfront and city view rooms, including 20 suites, have white stone floors with Art Deco0inspired articulation, ambient lighting and subtle gold and smoky blue accents. The hotel’s Cadillac Suite faces the Atlantic Ocean with a 1,100-square-foot terrace, large enough to host private dinners and cocktail receptions. Accented with an outdoor living area, the Cadillac Suite has an outdoor dining area and sunbeds for basking in the Miami sun. A home theater and 65-inch television enhance the entertainment systems of the hotel’s suite.

A boutique is located at the hotel entrance. Egan Miami Beach is curated by Kate Egan, owner and founder of Egan Day and Egan Rittenhouse in Philadelphia, PA.

The restaurants and bars include the Donna Mare Trattoria and Bungalow by the Sea, a seaside-inspired destination. The main pool leads to Bungalow by the Sea. Meanwhile, located inside, Donna Mare Trattoria has an intimate setting. The hotel also has the Lobby Bar.

For events, the property has several flexible indoor and outdoor spaces including a boardroom and ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and opens onto an expansive pool deck. Riviera, a flexible-use meeting space, also with natural light, leads to a grand terrace overlooking the pool.

Karan Kakar is the GM of the property.
