Ennismore to open second Mondrian in Mexico

Ennismore has signed a deal with with Inzigna Capital to develop a Mondrian Hotels & Residences property in Tulum, Mexico. The Mondrian Tulum Hotel & Residences is set to open in 2025 and be the second Mondrian in Mexico following the opening of Mondrian Mexico City at the end of 2022. This second property in Tulum will complement Ennismore's recent signing of Jo&Joe Tulum, according to the company.

Mondrian Tulum Hotel & Residences will be a 64-guestroom hotel with four food-and-beverage outlets (a destination restaurant, a lounge bar, a specialty rooftop bar and a pool bar and grill), a spa, a fitness center and an outdoor pool. The residential project will comprise 151 units, including different configurations from three-bedroom townhouses to a four-bedroom Casa VIP. Mondrian Tulum residents will have access to the hotel's wellness facilities, including the yoga area and pool.

The hotel will be situated off Coba Avenue, which connects to the downtown Tulum, less than a mile and a half from the hotel. Tulum is part of the Mayan Riviera in Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Ennismore has 14 brands representing more than 100 operating hotels with more than 140 in the pipeline as well as over 190 restaurants and bars. In 2023, Ennismore is set to open approximately 30 hotels, including Maison Delano Paris, France; Mama Shelter, Rennes, France; SO/ Uptown Dubai, UAE; 21C Museum Hotel St. Louis; Tribe Bangkok; Mondrian Singapore; The Hoxton, Charlottenburg, Germany; and the Mondrian and Hyde Ibiza, Spain. 

Investment company Inzigna Capital is the developer and sponsor of Mondrian Tulum Hotel & Residences. The company previously developed AWA Playacar Residences and Playacar Center in Playa del Carmen and Xalet Tulum Luxury Condos, a sustainable project that is under development.
