Homewood Suites by Hilton, part of Hilton Worldwide's All Suites portfolio, opened its newest property in Maine. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Augusta consists of 121 suites, and is the 400th property in the Homewood Suites brand.
“This new hotel will be located a short distance from Augusta State Airport and the University of Maine at Augusta, which will meet the demand for families visiting students nearby,” said Addie Stambaugh, GM of the hotel. “Homewood Suites’ value-driven amenities will give visitors a comfortable homestay whether traveling for business or leisure.”
Developed and owned by Ocean Properties Hotels Resorts & Affiliates, Homewood Suites Augusta complements the city’s local attractions as well as Maine’s tourism growth last year, which saw more than a three-percent increase in tourism spending.
The new hotel offers a combination of studio, one- and two-bedroom accommodations, and guestrooms include fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Guests also have access to a complimentary daily full-hot breakfast, evening social Monday-Thursday, Wi-Fi and a grocery shopping service. Homewood Suites by Hilton Augusta also has a fitness room, indoor pool and two meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 60 guests for small meetings or social gatherings.
Located at 377 Western Avenue, Homewood Suites Augusta is near attractions such as the Children’s Discovery Museum, City Center, the Maine State Museum and shopping at the Turnpike Mall. Augusta Civic Center, State House and Downtown Augusta Riverfront are also nearby.
