Kempinski Hotels opens property in Dominica

Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica has opened as the second venture of Kempinski Hotels in this region and Dominica’s newest luxury resort. The property located in Douglas Bay on the northwest side of the island was developed by Simeon Halstead Associates, the lead architect, and Maciag Associates X Studio Co., Ltd., the interior designer.

The island of Dominica is found between Guadeloupe and Martinique in the Caribbean. Surrounded by Cabrits National Park, Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica was designed to preserve the natural balance between land and the sea, while ensuring a modern contemporary guest experience.

All of the resort’s 151 guestrooms and suites have mountain or ocean views. From deluxe and superior rooms to suites and two-bedroom duplexes, as well as villas, each is inspired by the island’s natural beauty and features a palette of coastal colors, detailed wood accents and ample natural lighting, bringing the outdoors in.

Rooms have modern amenities, including flat-screen televisions, complimentary WiFi service and in-room espresso machines.

The 426-square-meter (4,585-square-foot) Presidential Villa has ocean views, dedicated butler service, a private lobby entrance, two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a dining room, a private spa room with sauna, and a terrace for outdoor dining, complete with a grill and private pool.

For dining, the property has Cabrits Market, The Kwéyòl Beach Café sea-view restaurant, Bonsai and the Rumfire Bar.

Kempinski The Spa at Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica offers 1,700 square meters (18,299 square feet) of spa facilities in bungalow-style treatment rooms. The same has four outdoor swimming pools, as well as the Water Temple surrounded by rainforest trees.

For events, the property has more than2,300 square meters (24,757 square feet) of indoor and outdoor facilities.
