Peachtree Group opens California TownePlace Suites

Peachtree Group has developed and opened the 220-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott Palmdale in California.

The all-suite property—which will be managed by Atlanta-based Peachtree Group’s hospitality-management division—is located near several aerospace and defense employers, including U.S. Air Force Plant 42, Edwards Air Force Base and Lockheed Martin operations in the Antelope Valley region. The hotel is also near local attractions including DryTown Water Park.

Peachtree Group’s hospitality management division operates 111 hotels across 30 brands nationwide. The Palmdale project was one of Peachtree Group’s early EB-5 developments and previously received I-956F approval from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

“The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Palmdale is well positioned to serve the growing aerospace, defense and extended-stay demand throughout the Antelope Valley market,” Vickie Callahan, president of hospitality management at Peachtree Group, said in a statement. “This opening represents the culmination of a long development journey that required tremendous persistence, collaboration and commitment across many teams.”

“Palmdale shows what becomes possible when development expertise, hospitality operations and flexible capital solutions such as EB-5 investments come together,” added Greg Friedman, managing principal and CEO of Peachtree Group.

Guestrooms have fully equipped kitchens and workspaces. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor pool and pet-friendly accommodations.
