The newly repositioned Ricardo Marriott DFW Westlake has opened in Texas following a complete renovation.

The 293-room hotel’s new identity pays tribute to renowned Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta. His signature style—defined by bold colors, dramatic interplay of light and shadow and geometric forms—shaped the original design of the property. Originally acquired in September 2023 as the Marriott Westlake, the hotel is owned by a joint venture between Grapevine, Texas-based NewcrestImage and Dabu Group, and is now managed by Coury Hospitality.

“We have reimagined this property for today’s marketplace,” Mehul Patel, managing partner of NewcrestImage, said in a statement. “It is a vibrant and contemporary blend of swanky luxury and homey comfort that provides us with strong rate performance in a strategically active market.”

“The hotel has been renovated and rebranded to drive performance for ownership, elevate the guest experience and strengthen its role within the local community. We honored the property’s architectural pedigree while introducing new energy through design, enhanced amenities and modern technology,” added Paul Coury, CEO of Dallas-based Coury Hospitality.

As part of the transformation, the hotel introduced House of Toro Chophouse and Patio, a steakhouse concept with Latin influences. Additional dining venues include Solana Kitchen and Lounge and Café 31.

The property features nearly 15,000 sq.-feet of flexible meeting space across 17 event rooms. Located near major corporate offices, the hotel also offers access to shopping destinations such as Southlake Town Square and The Shops at Lakeside DFW.
