Red Roof opens Virginia, North Carolina conversion hotels

Red Roof has opened two hotels in Charlotte, N.C., and Doswell, Va.

The new Red Roof Inn Charlotte-Airport is a conversion of the former Days Inn by Wyndham Charlotte Airport North. Owner Shree Shradhaa Saburi invested approximately $700,000 in renovations to the property, which included painting the exterior, updating the guestroom bathrooms, installing new guestroom seating, a new coffee bar as well as new bedding.

The pet-friendly, 108-room hotel has a coin laundry and a snack center and is close to the U.S. National Whitewater Center, the Charlotte Convention Center and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Gastonia Municipal Airport are a short drive away.

The Red Roof Inn Doswell-Kings Dominion is a conversion of a former Motel 6. Owner SJ Hotel invested $1.2 million in renovations to the property, which included upgrading guestrooms and public bathrooms, installing new bedding and mattresses and a new coffee bar, new paint throughout the interior of the property and adding new vending machines.

The pet-friendly 108-room hotel is close to Kings Dominion Theme Park, Kings Dominion Soak City and North Anna Battlefield Park. Richmond International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport are a short drive away.
