Choice Hotels International, in collaboration with Brookwood Hotels and Nationwide Hotel Management Company, opened the WoodSpring Suites Charlotte Northlake and WoodSpring Suites Charlotte Matthews.

"Charlotte is the largest city in the Carolinas and home to some of the country's most distinguished financial institutions, medical centers, and universities, each of which generates a healthy demand for extended stay accommodations," Ron Burgett, VP of franchise development for WoodSpring Suites and Choice Hotels, said in a statement. "Our collaboration with Brookwood Hotels continues to grow with the opening of these properties, and we cannot wait for guests to experience these hotels and the essential amenities the brand offers."

Both new four-story, 122-room properties are within driving distance to downtown Charlotte, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and several other corporations and attractions, including the Bank of America Financial Center, Duke Energy, NASCAR, Microsoft, Sonic Automotive and Wells Fargo's corporate offices. In addition, both hotels include a mix of queen and king size beds, an in-room kitchen equipped with a full-size refrigerator, an expanded lobby with a coffee station, a fitness center with 24/7 access, smoke free premises, free parking, complimentary guest Wi-Fi and 24/7 guest laundry.

"Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, attracting a diverse and talented labor pool and new business sectors, making it the ideal location to open multiple WoodSpring properties," Darien Wright, COO of Brookwood Hotels, said in a statement. "We believe in the WoodSpring Suites product, and these two hotels expand our footprint into the largest city in the state of North Carolina."
