Aimbridge names new lead for lifestyle division

Aimbridge Hospitality has promoted Will Loughran to president of its lifestyle division Evolution Hospitality.

With a focus in management, marketing, operations and business development, Loughran’s experience in leading soft-branded and independent hotels has supported Evolution's development. During Loughran’s tenure as SVP of operations and then as COO, Evolution Hospitality grew fourfold and expanded into a dozen new states. He led Aimbridge and Evolution into Canada and facilitated the merger with Bellstar Hotels and Resorts. He most recently was chief operating officer of Evolution.

“Will continues to play a critical role as we leverage the scale of Aimbridge to uniquely add value for owners and advance our expertise and growth in the lifestyle vertical,” said Michael J. Deitemeyer, president and ceo of Aimbridge Hospitality, in a statement. “Will has been a strong champion of Evolution’s culture, and his deep experience leading lifestyle operations will be extremely valuable in spearheading our best-in-class results.”

Loughran began his career with Marriott International and gained experience in sales, marketing, management and operations for properties in the select-service to luxury categories before transitioning to private management companies. He has held leadership roles at several management companies before joining Evolution Hospitality in 2015. 

Loughran directs a global team at the Evolution offices located in San Clemente, Calif. He also serves on the Marriott Autograph and Tribute Advisory Councils, is a board member of the Hotel Association of Canada and is a commissioner for Visit California.
