Arbor Lodging acquires the Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Northwest

Arbor Lodging Partners, a Chicago-based hotel investment and management company, acquired its second hotel in two weeks with the Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Northwest. The hotel, located at 7226 Woodland Drive, Indianapolis, marks Arbor Lodging’s sixth property in the Indianapolis market and the sixth Marriott hotel owned and managed by the company. The hotel will be operated by Arbor Lodging Partners’ affiliate, Arbor Lodging Management.

Arbor Lodging Partners will initiate a renovation to both the interior and exterior of the property shortly following the mid-February closing. The renovation plans are pursuant of the Courtyard by Marriott Reimage Strategy, and will include a modern update to all areas of the hotel.

"We are excited to add our sixth Indianapolis property to the Arbor portfolio," Vamsi Bonthala, CEO of Arbor Lodging Partners, said in a statement. "As fans of the Indianapolis market, we recognize both its diverse demand generators and increasing potential for growth. This hotel reflects a similar upside that we look forward to uncovering.”

The Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Northwest includes 90 guestrooms and suites, a recently updated lobby with a grab-and-go market, fitness center and indoor pool, as well as The Bistro, an onsite dining venue and bar serving breakfast and dinner. The Bistro offers Starbucks coffee and healthy menu options along with cocktails, wine and beer for guests looking to unwind in the lobby’s varied social spaces. Guestrooms offer complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, 32 inch LCD HDTVs, “The New Bed by Courtyard” and in-room whirlpools in select suites. The hotel is centrally located between the Indianapolis International Airport and downtown Indianapolis, with access to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indiana State Fairgrounds and Indianapolis Convention Center.

"Increasing our presence in the Indianapolis market also helps solidify our role as a familiar company where locals can develop their careers," Sheenal Patel, CEO of Arbor Lodging Management, said in a statement. "We pride ourselves in bringing the Arbor culture into each and every one of our properties and with our concentration in this city, we’ve been able to establish our reputation and attract the best talent. In the end, that is a big part of how we service our guests.”
