Atrium takes over management of 3 hotels in Kentucky, Ohio

Atrium Hospitality assumed management of three branded, full-service hotels in Ohio and Kentucky. Totaling 612 rooms, the additions consist of the 227-room Columbus (Ohio) Airport Marriott, the 230-key Embassy Suites by Hilton Lexington (Ky.)/UK Coldstream and the 155-room Holiday Inn Cincinnati-Riverfront in Covington, Ky.

The operator’s three new properties bring its total management portfolio to 84 hotels and 20,897 rooms in 28 states. The company also now controls more than 3 million square feet of event space, including nearly 30,000 square feet from the three properties it just took on.

“We are focused on expanding the Atrium Hospitality management portfolio with the right strategic opportunities,” President Daniel Abernethy said in a statement. “We welcome our newest associates to the Atrium family with the addition of three branded hotels in Ohio and Kentucky, which are ideally situated near a mix of demand generators of business, education, entertainment and retail.”

The Columbus Airport Marriott is located less than a 10-minute drive from both downtown Columbus and the John Glenn Columbus International Airport. It features a lounge, a restaurant and 17 meeting rooms totaling 12,309 square feet of meeting space.

The Embassy Suites is located near the University of Kentucky’s Coldstream Research Campus and roughly a 10 minute-drive from the college’s main campus. The hotel features 13 meeting rooms totaling 14,000 square feet of event space, including a ballroom for up to 800 guests.

The Holiday Inn is located just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati in Kentucky. The newly renovated hotel includes a fitness center, an outdoor pool, 2,370 square feet of event space and a restaurant.
