Braintree Group, an Idaho-based group of companies, has hired Eric Danziger as CEO. Danziger, formerly the CEO of Trump Hotels, will oversee Braintree’s portfolio of companies, including real estate investment and development, hospitality management and venture capital investments.
“Eric is a grower of companies,” said Ryan Van Alfen, co-founder of Braintree. “We are confident in his leadership experience and proven ability to grow companies and excited by his potential to enhance the Braintree offering, not just in the hospitality industry, but in each sector Braintree is engaged in.”
Danziger, who started as a bellman at The Fairmont San Francisco at the age of 17, has worked as the head of several hotel companies. He joined Trump Hotels following roles as president and CEO of Starwood Hotels, president and CEO of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, and president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group.
“I have an excitement for learning new things, and this is a unique opportunity for me to apply my skills to an expanded portfolio of businesses, as well as allow me to move closer to family in the Boise area,” Danziger said in a statement.

Braintree Hospitality is a hotel development and full-service management company that owns and operates 14 hotels in the western U.S. Braintree Properties is a commercial real estate development firm that has done ground-up development and investments totaling more than $1.6 billon.
