Hay Creek Hotels and Restaurants has added four more properties to its hotel-management portfolio. Three of the properties are restoration projects.

The Stonebreaker is a complete restoration project of the Pratt Place Inn & Barn situated on more than 200 acres of land in Fayetteville, Ark., that is scheduled to break ground in late July. Located just outside of downtown Fayetteville and within walking distance to the University of Arkansas, the project consists of an upper-upscale, 63-room hotel; a standalone restaurant and bar; a wellness spa; a pool; meeting and conference facilities; a dedicated barn for weddings; an outdoor concert and event venue as well as a private membership club. Hay Creek is collaborating with Specialized Real Estate Group on the concept, positioning and design of the hotel and its membership club and will operate the property upon completion in March 2024.

Hay Creek will collaborate with Noble Investments/Family on Wilbur Mansion in Bethlehem, Pa., a historic, nine-guestroom mansion restoration project that will include an addition of a 225-person capacity, new-build event space and will operate the property upon its opening scheduled for late summer/early fall 2022.

Lodge at Schroon Lake is located in the Adirondack region in Schroon, N.Y. Hay Creek will work in collaboration with Spring City Development on the historic restoration of the former Word of Life compound, which was originally constructed as the Brown Swan Club, an upscale exclusive lodge, in 1920s. The property is situated on 36 acres with 121 guestrooms along with standalone chalets and cabins, a 10,000-square-foot restaurant, a 600-seat theater, meeting and conference facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach and lakeside dockage. Construction is scheduled to begin July and will include future cabin expansion, glamping sites and a planned dock with an F&B/bar facility. Opening is slated for July 2023.

Horizon Hotel is situated in Queens, N.Y., close to the home of the US Open’s Flushing Meadows Tennis Facility. Hay Creek will work with Stonehill Taylor and New Land Development on concept, design and positioning and will manage operations for the planned opening in May 2025. This upper-upscale property will have 202 guestrooms and suites, 150 residential condominiums, a 200-person ballroom, upscale retail space and a number of bistros, bars and full-service restaurants.

“Striking the appropriate balance between preservation and innovation, and the celebration of the past while giving nod to the future is an art the Hay Creek Hotels and Restaurants has perfected as a steward of historic hotel properties for almost 20 years. We are humbled by the pursuit of our services in this area,” said Norman MacLeod, founder and president of Hay Creek.
