HEI Hotels & Resorts is set to operate the 93-room Saranac Waterfront Lodge, bringing its portfolio of third-party managed hotels to 101. Centered in the Tri-Lakes region in New York between Lake Placid and Tupper Lake, the Saranac Waterfront Lodge is located directly on the shores of Lake Flower's Pontiac Bay, the center of major area events and a short distance from the downtown arts district of the Village of Saranac Lake. The hotel is one hour from Plattsburgh International Airport and two and a half hours from the Albany, Burlington and Montreal international airports.
The lodge has a 24-boat slip marina with public restaurant docking, indoor heated pool and hot tub area, an outdoor fire pit and a fitness center. With direct lake access the resort also provides third-party boat rentals, as well as seasonal activities, amenities and packages. The resort has begun working with local food-and-beverage producers to create a more regionalized farm-to-table experience in the Boathouse restaurant.
