M&R Hotel Management appoints SVP, business development

M&R Hotel Management appointed Daniel Dolce SVP of business development. Dolce will be responsible for growing the company portfolio of third-party managed hotels by identifying appropriate opportunities, developing budgets and proformas, negotiating contracts and coordinating with the company’s executive, marketing, operations and legal teams.

“Daniel Dolce brings to our organization a wealth of hospitality experience that spans all segments and types of hotels,” Amit Gandhi, M&R Hotel Management’s president/CEO, said in a statement. “He is widely respected in our industry and maintains extensive contacts with owners, operators, lenders, attorneys and others within the hospitality development community.”

Dolce, the son of Dolce Hotels and Resorts founder Andy Dolce, brings 27 years of experience to his new role. Most recently, he served as EVP of sales and development for LaKota Hotels & Resorts, where he was in charge of sourcing equity and pursuing new management contracts. Before that, he worked in sales and development roles with Pyramid Hotel Group, Scanticon Hotels, Doral Hotels & Resorts and Millennium Hotels and Resorts.

Dolce spent 15 years working at the family business from 1994 to 2009. During his time at Dolce Hotels and Resorts, he worked in a range of roles, including director of sales and marketing, GM, director of acquisitions and development, VP of field sales and VP of global sales.

Based in Great Neck, N.Y., M&R Hotel Management's 2,958-room portfolio consists of 15 properties in New York City and eight in Indiana, Missouri and Illinois. It also has four locations under development.
