Outrigger Hospitality Group appoints new VPs

Outrigger Hospitality Group appointed Brent Shiratori VP, global brand group and Oswaldo D. Lopez VP, construction and project management.

Shiratori, who previously spent three years with the company as director of brand strategic planning and development, is now tasked with championing brand strategy through creative development and content strategy for web, social, email and paid media; campaigns; communications programs; brand resources, including tools and systems; and brand intranet and media asset management. Over his career, Shiratori has founded the brand strategy firm Aidia Marketing, served as director strategic planning at Matsumoto & Clapperton and worked at Carol H. Williams Advertising, Laird Christianson Advertising, CP Advertising and Starr Seigle Advertising.

As VP, construction and project management, Lopez will identify, manage and coordinate the implementation of major capital projects for Outrigger, including furniture, fixtures and equipment; budgeting; bidding; construction contracts; project management and scheduling. He previously served as development manager and executive architect for Selena International, EVP at Oasis West Realty and hotel consultant for Oxford Properties Group.

Outrigger currently operates 37 properties with more than 7,000 rooms in Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand, Guam, Mauritius and the Maldives.
