Rove Hotels signs new hotel and residences project in Dubai Marina

Rove Hotels, a joint venture between Dubai-based holding company Meraas and Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar Properties, has signed a long-term agreement with Mada'in Properties to operate the Rove Mina Seyahi hotel and residences in the center of Dubai Marina. This is Rove Hotels' first hotel management agreement in the UAE.

When it opens, the Rove Mina Seyahi and Rove Residences Mina Seyahi will have 270 guestrooms and 443 serviced residences in a 50-story tower. UAE-based private joint stock company Mada'in Properties will develop the new Rove property, which is slated to open in 2021 next to Al Sufouh Road, the Dubai Metro, the Dubai Tram, the beach and Dubai Marina.

The hotel will be Rove Hotels' fifth property in Dubai following the Rove Downtown, the Rove City Centre, the Rove Healthcare City and the Rove Trade Centre. The next Rove to open in the emirate is the Rove at the Park, one of 10 hotels scheduled to be developed by 2020. The property will be next to the upcoming Dubai Parks and Resorts development, which will have three theme parks and a water park. The new 458-room Rove will be near Palm Jebel Ali, the Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airports, the upcoming Lapita Hotel and the Riverland Dubai retail, dining and entertainment district.

The Rove at the Park will follow the opening of the first Rove hotel outside of the UAE—the Rove King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia. Construction on the 240-room hotel in the Bay La Sun waterfront district of King Abdullah Economic City is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2018 with a soft opening scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2019. The property will be near the Prince Mohammad Bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship, the coast of the Red Sea, the Bay View Business Park, the Marina canal and the Juman Park.
