U.S. weekly hotel results: Jan. 7-13

For the week of Jan. 7-13, U.S. hotel performance increased from the previous week, while year-over-year comparisons remained mixed, according to CoStar’s latest data.
 
For the week (percentage change from comparable week in 2023):

  • Occupancy: 53.3 percent (-2.8 percent)
  • Average daily rate (ADR): $153.84 (+6.3 percent)
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): $81.96 (+3.3 percent) 

Top Markets

Among CoStar’s top 25 markets, Las Vegas saw the largest year-over-year increases in each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (+29 percent to 79.8 percent), ADR (+77.3 percent to $283.74) and RevPAR (+128.8 percent to $226.34). The market’s performance was helped by the Consumer Electronics Show. 

The steepest RevPAR declines were seen in Atlanta (-31.1 percent to $64.34) and Los Angeles (-16.6 percent to $112.60).
