Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with Goldenflamingo Ida to open The Emerald House Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton next year in the city center of the Portuguese capital.
The Emerald House Lisbon will be the first Curio Collection by Hilton property in Portugal. Upon completion of a multimillion-euro renovation, the property will have 67 guestrooms, a fitness center, a restaurant and a bar for guests and local residents.
“The Portuguese tourism industry is growing [and] the number of foreign visitors rose more than 10 percent last year to reach a record of more than 12 million visitors,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, SVP development, EMEA, Hilton. “Lisbon is at the heart of this growth…It is the perfect time and place to be introducing Curio Collection to Portugal.”
Launched in 2014, the Curio Collection by Hilton is a collection of more than 60 upper-upscale hotels. The Emerald House Lisbon joins more than 25 Curio Collection by Hilton hotels across Europe.
