Allseating has launched Watson, a new seating collection. Watson is a “resimercial” collection consisting of sofa, loveseat, club chair and bench options with the look and feel of residential furniture and the durable construction of workplace furnishings.
Allseating President Paul Vendittelli said the collection has “intricate stitching and piping details” that create a contemporary look. “It has classic angular lines on the outside but is softer and less formal on the inside,” he said.
Industrial designer Todd Yetman of Yetman & Co. created Watson with a tuxedo-style outer shell, creating a formal ambience that contrasts with a relaxed and inviting feel when sitting.
“Watson brings together many important aspects to modern-day corporate design, including durable comfort, intelligent design and cleanliness,” Yetman said. “Inspired by bespoke British menswear, Watson is as tailored and fashionable as its name suggests. Watson guarantees comfort without compromise; it has multi-density foam that provides longevity and its range of upholstery options allow users optimal customization. Watson is adaptable yet simple and is a welcome addition to any space.”
The collection can be specified in single or dual upholstery. The tapered legs support a pillowed seat and its simple lines and square edges help each piece fit into any space. The legs are available in light, medium or dark Canadian birch wood.
